The EUR-OCEANS education project aims to provide tools
to teach students about the impact of climate change on the oceans.
We encourage you to use those resources, which can also be tailored to meet the individual needs
and interests of your school and by May 2008 produce an outcome
(using documents, scientific data, photographs, pictures, drawings etc).
Projects should be sent to us before May 16th 2008.
They will be published on the EUR-OCEANS website. The language used should be either the
pupils' native language or English. Please note that most of the material that is
supplied online will be available in English and French.
Make a Weather station
Track the weather at your place during the next months. Record parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind direction and velocity and follow their changes over time. Be part of a European network of observers. Join forces and learn not only about the weather’s variations at regional, but also at bigger spatial scales!
Script contest
Together with your class and using the educational resources of the EUR-OCEANS educational programme,
make a 6-minute film script on a topic related to the impact of climate change and human activities
(fisheries, resources exploitation etc.) on marine ecosystems.
