Mr Allain BOUGRAIN-DUBOURG : Journalist & TV producer
Born in 1948, Allain Bougrain-Dubourg, is
journalist and TV producer.
Always passionate about animals lives from,
he create at a very young age a club called
the “Les jeunes amis des animaux” (Young
Friends of the Animals).
When he turns 18 years old, he starts giving schools conferences and sets up an itinerary show called « Pavillon de la Nature » in order to sensitize general public about the protection of the biodiversity.
Winner of the Fondation de la Vocation in 1969, he become an animal and nature television and soon start to produce his own shows: « Terre des Bêtes »> (1978, on Antenne 2), which become « Entre Chien et Loup » in 1986. In 1988, he creates « Animalia » showed on Saturdays on France 2 channel.
He is producer and et presenter of the programme « Au nom de la faune » on the Animals channel, and producer/director within the company Nature Productions.
Chargé de mission at the French Minister of Agriculture, Allain BOUGRAIN DUBOURG is very active “on the ground ». He gets several honorary awards for his actions in favour of the wildlife.
In 2000, he becomes vice-president of the Observatory des Marées Noires and is president of the League for the protection of the birds since 1986.
Allain BOUGRAIN-DUBOURG has been books collection director « Etat Sauvage » at Atlas has written several books : « L’agonie des bébés phoques » (Presse de la Cité), « Le tour de France des animaux sauvages » (Editions Bias), « Tendres tueurs » with Yann Arthus-Bertrand (Editions Le Chêne), « Et Dieu créa les animaux » (Robert Laffont), « Animaux 89 » (Compagnie 12), « Observer la nature, une passion » (Nathan), « Des animaux et des femmes » (Arthaud) et les « Animaux à la une » et « Curieux de nature » (Flammarion)
